These terms apply when you order food or drink from Oliver Fish Bar through this website. Please read them before placing an order — by placing one, you accept them.
Oliver Fish Bar
Items shown on this site are an invitation to order, not an offer. Your order is an offer to buy, and a contract is formed only when we accept it — you will see confirmation on screen and, where you have given us the details, by email or text.
We may decline an order. The usual reasons are that an item has sold out, the kitchen is at capacity, we cannot deliver to the address given, or we cannot verify your age for an age-restricted item.
Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Any delivery charge is shown before you pay.
If an item is priced incorrectly we will tell you before preparing it, and you can confirm at the right price or cancel for a full refund.
Card payments are handled on our payment provider's secure page. We never see or store your full card number.
Any time we quote is an estimate. Kitchens get busy and traffic happens, and we cannot guarantee a specific minute.
For delivery, please make sure the address and phone number are right and that someone can take the order. If nobody is there and we cannot reach you, the order may be treated as delivered and not refunded.
Tell us about an allergy or intolerance before you order, using the notes on your order or by phoning us. Our kitchen handles allergens and we cannot guarantee any dish is free from traces.
Allergen information is given in good faith and recipes change. If an allergy is serious, please speak to us directly rather than relying on this site alone.
We only sell alcohol and other age-restricted items to customers aged 18 or over. We may ask for photographic ID on collection or delivery, and we will refuse to hand the item over without it. Refused items are refunded less any cost we have already incurred.
Food prepared to your order is exempt from the usual 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Our own cancellation and refund terms are set out in our Cancellations and Refunds policy and are part of these terms.
Nothing here affects your legal rights. If what we supply is not of satisfactory quality, not as described, or not fit for purpose, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 still apply.
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable.
We do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
We may update these terms. The version published when you place an order is the one that applies to that order.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales.
